Traders With Edge

Scandinavian Markets Alternative & Comparison

Scandinavian Markets Trader Funding, Alternative and Comparison. That’s what we’re going to be covering in this video.

Scandinavian Markets is a broker and they’ve started doing Prop Firm Challenge accounts. So what that means is if you pass a challenge with them, then they will fund you as a trader. And what we’re doing in this video is we’re comparing Scandinavian Markets to Traders With Edge, a side by side comparison, so that you can make an informed decision as to what is the best option for you.

Top, you’ll see we’ve got the Prop Firm and the Challenge type. We’ve got Traders with Edge Turtle, the Traders with Edge Hare account and the Scandinavian Markets. The size of the challenge account is a $100,000, to compare apples with apples. And you’ll see, on the first line, we’ve got the Max Account Size after Scaling. So when you pass your Prop Firm Challenge account, if you’re a consistently profitable trader, typically what will happen is the Prop Firm will continue to top-up your account to give you a larger account to trade.

This obviously means there’s a bigger opportunity for you to do the same trades and make more money. Traders with Edge will scale your account up to $3 million. And that’s where the cap is. Scandinavian Markets will scale your account to $1 million.

Traders with Edge also has two different types of scaling plans. If you’re on the website, traderswithedge.com, and you go up to Challenges, under Scaling Plans, you’ll go to a page that looks like this. And you’ll see we’ve got, up the top, organic and rapid scaling, two different scaling plans that you could choose from. There’s a video that explains them both, some detailed examples, and there’s also some graphs so that you can see just how much faster your rapid scaling account would grow than your traditional type scaling account. Also, down the bottom, we’ve built a calculator for you so that you can go in and you can select your metrics, and see exactly how much more you would make with a rapid scaling account, if you would be making the same trades as on a traditional scaling account.

So back to our Scandinavian Markets, Alternative and Comparison. If you scroll down a little bit, you’ll see, do they have the rapid scaling available? Yes to both. Number of phases. So the Traders with Edge Turtle is a one-phase, the Traders with Edge Hare is a two-phase and Scandinavian Markets is a one-phase. The price in US dollars to take the challenge, 750 for the Turtle, 590 for the Traders with Edge Hare, and a thousand dollars for the Scandinavian Markets.

Is the fee refundable? No, it’s not refundable on the Traders with Edge Turtle or the Scandinavian Markets account, but it is refundable with the Traders with Edge Hare account. How it works is, once you’ve passed the two phases of the challenge, and when you’re eligible for your first payout, you’ll receive a refund with that first payout.

The target for phase one on all of them is 10%. There is no target for phase two on both the Traders with Edge Turtle or the Scandinavian Markets account, because it’s a one-phase challenge so you’d already be on a funded account by that stage. The Traders with Edge Hare, for phase two, the target is just 5%.

The maximum drawdown is 5% for both the Traders with Edge Turtle and the Scandinavian Markets accounts. And the maximum drawdown for the Hare account is 10%. The daily drawdown is 2.5% for the Traders with Edge Turtle, 5% for the Traders with Edge Hare and 4% for the Scandinavian Markets.

Profit share is 80% for both Traders with Edge accounts and it’s 75% for the Scandinavian Markets. So what that means is at Traders with Edge, you keep 80% of the profits when you’re on a funded account. The minimum trading days for phase one is 10 days for both the Traders with Edge accounts, and zero days for Scandinavian Markets.

The minimum trading days for phase two is not applicable for the Turtle or Scandinavian Markets. And it’s minimum 10 days for the Hare account. The trading period for phase one is 365 days for the Turtle, it’s 30 days for the Traders with Edge Hare. And they say that it’s an infinite amount of time on the Scandinavian Markets account, but I don’t believe that they’re going to allow you to keep trying to pass the challenge 10 years from now. The trading period for phase two, it’s not applicable for the Turtle or Scandinavian Markets, because you’d already be on a funded account. You’ve got 60 days to pass the challenge on phase two for the Hare account.

Can you hold over weekends? You can hold over weekends on the Traders with Edge Turtle. You cannot hold over weekends with both the Traders with Edge Hare or the Scandinavian Markets account.

Can you use EAs? Yes, you can use EAs for both companies. Traders with Edge, we say, ask for approval first. The main reason for this is most Prop Firms will tell you that you can trade with them using an EA. But what they also have in place is a rule that says you cannot trade exactly the same strategy as another trader who’s trading for them. And so what happens is a lot of people go and they trade with an EA, they pass, they get funded and they lose their account because someone else is using exactly the same EA. And then they lose their account. This is why we say you need to request approval first, at Traders with Edge, so that we can check that and make sure that there’s not going to be any conflict.

Do they allow Signals? Yes, both companies allow to trade Signals. Both companies allow you to trade News.

Do you get a free retry? You don’t get a free retry on the Turtle or the Scandinavian Markets account. Doesn’t make sense, that you’d have a free retry, because you’ve got a full year to pass the challenge. The Traders with Edge Hare account, you do get a free retry. How this works is, once you’ve passed both phases of the challenge and then you’re on a live trading account, when you’re eligible for your first payout, we will refund the fee that you paid to do the challenge in the first place. So you got a nice chunky payout there.

Can you trade Forex? Yes, you can on both. Can you trade digital currencies? Yes you can, with both firms. Can you trade commodities? Yes, you can. Indices? Yes. Can you trade share and stock CFDs for all? Yes you can.

Do they have trading competitions? Traders with Edge has trading competitions, Scandinavian Markets does not. How the competition works is you sign up on the website, you enter your details and then you trade for a period of typically 30 days. And the top traders who win the competition will win a challenge account.

Do they have giveaways? Yes. Traders with Edge has giveaways. An example of a giveaway, that we ran recently, was you could win one of three $50,000 Prop Challenge accounts. All you had to do was put your name and email address in, and you are in the running to potentially win. We may or may not have that offer available, by the time you see this video, but that’s just an example of a giveaway that we run from time to time. There could be other different giveaways by the time you see this video.

As we keep going down, do they have trader education? Yes. Both companies have trader education. The affiliate program pays 20% for the lifetime of the client, for both companies. Traders with Edge, we pay 20% for the lifetime of the client. So what that means is, if you refer someone today and they purchase something, we pay up to 20%. If they purchase something in a year, or five years from now, you still receive commission on whatever they spend with us.

So that concludes our review and comparison of Scandinavian Markets. If you’ve got any questions, then go to the website traderswithedge.com. Talk to us on live chat, post a comment below the video, and have a great day.
